Did You Know?

Dr. Lexa and his wife eloped to Australia to get married and spent their honeymoon on a live-aboard SCUBA diving trip on the Great Barrier Reef. They have been married for 22 years. Together, they have two sons, both in college. One son attends Cornell University and the other is at the Naval Academy. In addition, Dr. Lexa and his wife have two dogs, Rocky and Gabby, and a Vietnamese pot belly pig named Pyper.

Dr. Lexa likes to bike both for fun and for commuting. He learned to fly airplanes and loves doing that when he has time. Additionally, he and his wife still SCUBA dive and ski. Dr. Lexa loves to travel. He has worked on five continents for Wharton and has visited over 70 countries. He particularly enjoys traveling in the Spanish countryside and his favorite big city has always been Paris.

Before becoming a radiologist, Dr. Lexa considered a career as a scientist and engineer. After becoming a radiologist, Dr. Lexa has had some side careers including strategic consultant, venture capitalist and business school professor, but he’s never wanted to give up being a neuroradiologist.

His favorite cuisines include Spanish, French and Szechuan restaurants. Some of his favorite wines are from Priorat in Spain but the thing Dr. Lexa drinks most (like most radiologists) is coffee! And on a rainy day off, Dr. Lexa enjoys watching classic movies, especially film noir.
