Fellowship in Informatics

The Informatics Fellowship provides a radiology resident or early-career professional with hands-on experience in the field of informatics, including one-on-one mentoring and informatics projects. The fellow will be introduced to initiatives of the , , and other 新澳门六合彩官网 Informatics projects. Below is an outline of the 2023-2024 fellowship schedule.

  • August 2024 (2 days): The fellowship will begin with a virtual visit with 新澳门六合彩官网 staff. During this period, the fellow will meet with a variety of teams and 新澳门六合彩官网 experts and be immersed in discussions on informatics and hands-on learning projects.
  • September 19-21 (3 days): The fellow will attend the 新澳门六合彩官网 2024 Quality and Safety + Informatics Conference in Washington, DC. 
  • Spring 2025 (1 week): Next, the fellow will continue to gain experience by spending a week at a participating pilot site learning about informatics implementation in a clinical setting. Additional time will be allotted for didactic lectures, one-on-one mentoring, and independent study.
     

At the close of the fellowship, the fellow will write and submit an informatics white paper with direct mentoring from Drs. Tessa Cook and Adam Prater.

The time of the fellowship sessions will be arranged with the fellow and their supervisors to accommodate their training and work schedules. The fellow will receive a $500 stipend at the completion of their white paper. The fellow’s travel and living expenses during the program will be paid by the 新澳门六合彩官网.

How to Apply


The fellowship is available to fourth-year residents (R4/PGY5) and early-career professionals up to three years out of residency at the start of the fellowship. The program will connect fellows with the larger imaging informatics community and is intended for residents and early-career radiologists who have a demonstrable interest in imaging informatics but have not had significant exposure to the field at their home institutions or current organizations. All applicants are required to submit the following materials:

Applications for the 2024 cohort have closed. Candidates will be notified by email of the committee’s decision by early May.
