Incorporating O-RADS™ US v2022 in Daily Clinical Practice

The O-RADS™ US v2022 update outlines major changes to the system and allows its application to all pelvic US reports, if desired. It also provides clarity, improved specificity, better aligns with consensus statements and offers more directed management recommendations.

With the recent release and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services approved use of the O-RADS™ US management recommendations as a quality insurance tool, most clinicians are likely unfamiliar with the update and desire guidance for how to incorporate the system into their daily clinical practice.

Physicians and other healthcare professionals should familiarize themselves with the new lexicon descriptors, management options, and assessment tools to know how to ensure appropriate patient management and positive patient outcomes.
