YPS Officers Roll Call: Who Is Your Favorite Superhero?

By Jacob Ormsby, MD, MBA

In the spirit of the Moreton Lecture, we have asked some of our current officers to introduce themselves and present a superhero they admire.

Ivan M. DeQuesada II, MD (Chair)
I'm a neuroradiologist in private practice at Radiology Associates of North Texas in Fort Worth. I've been coming to the 新澳门六合彩官网® Annual Meeting since my first year of residency, and it's always an incredible experience. I have interest in most facets of radiology, but my greatest experiences are in healthcare policy, government relations and practice economics. I admire Captain America because of his commitment to justice as well as his strong sense of duty.

David Mihal, MD (Vice Chair)
I am a neuroradiologist at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. I have been attending the 新澳门六合彩官网 Annual Meeting since my first year in residency and dedicated myself to becoming more involved due to the clear, critical role of the organization to the sustainability of our profession. I most admire the superheroes without superpowers like Black Widow, Ironman and Batman, who instead use their skills and resources to accomplish amazing feats.

Neil Lall, MD (Past Chair)
I'm an academic pediatric radiologist (body and neuro) at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (Emory), where I currently serve as our Informatics Director and recently finished my term as Pediatric Neurology Interim Section Head. I've been attending the 新澳门六合彩官网 Annual Meeting for just over 10 years, and while I've learned tons at each of them, one of my most valuable lessons was from losing an RFS election that first year. Taking that first step is usually the hardest part but showing your interest (and having a little perseverance) will bring you plenty of opportunities to get involved. My favorite superhero is Rogue because she gains something new from everyone she encounters — though I don't love her ability to drain the life out of people!

Judith Gadde, DO, MBA (Social Media Liaison)
I am a pediatric neuroradiologist at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I am also the YPS Social Media Liaison for the second year in a row. My personal tidbit (sans superhero) is a passion for competitive (natural) bodybuilding.

Ozden Bulut, MD (Membership Liaison)
I am a neuroradiologist at Tufts University in Boston. I wasn’t really involved in the 新澳门六合彩官网 during my training, but I quickly realized the void when I joined the workforce. I decided to observe 新澳门六合彩官网 activities along the sidelines for a while, and then I reached a point where I felt the urge to take a more involved approach to help the College achieve its mission. And here I am! I cannot think of a superhero that I admire, but my fun fact is if I went to Hogwarts and donned the Sorting Hat, I think I would be a Ravenclaw.

Adam Kaye, MD, MBA (RADPAC® Liaison)
I am a body and nuclear radiologist at a private practice in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I have been coming to the 新澳门六合彩官网 Annual Meeting since my first year of residency and love the College's dedication to our specialty and our patients, particularly in the areas of economics and government relations. I also love the camaraderie with my peers that the College provides. My superhero is Superman, because he can do anything like fly and use X-ray and heat vision (I mean, why not?).

Jacob Ormsby, MD, MBA (Communications Liaison)
I am a neuroradiologist at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. I have been coming to the 新澳门六合彩官网 Annual Meeting since my first year of residency. I am driven by quality, efficiency and great patient care. The superhero I admire is Professor X and his ability to mentor others with unique gifts.
