State Radiological Chapters Encouraged to Apply for a Scope of Practice Grant

Many state legislators and legislative bodies are making preparations for a busy 2023 state legislative cycle. Healthcare will continue to be one of the most pressing topics debated throughout state capitals in 2023 and the 新澳门六合彩官网® (新澳门六合彩官网®) expects non-physician scope of practice expansion to be one of the major healthcare related issues discussed.

The 新澳门六合彩官网 Association® (新澳门六合彩官网A®) wants to help state radiological societies that are battling non-physician scope expansion activity To assist in the fight for patient safety, the 新澳门六合彩官网A has established the Scope of Practice (SOP) Fund to safeguard patients and patient access to radiological care. The fund will be used in conjunction with state radiological societies to proactively educate lawmakers and counter future scope threats to patient safety. The 新澳门六合彩官网A invites any state radiological chapter to apply for the grant by Oct. 31.

The 新澳门六合彩官网 has updated its scope of practice micro-website, which features a wide variety of resources for state chapters, including:

  • State scope of practice legislation tracked by the 新澳门六合彩官网.
  • Educational requirements of a radiologist and the value of physician-led care.
  • 新澳门六合彩官网 communications and sign-on letters.
