UnitedHealthcare Unable to Reach Contract Agreements

At least two major healthcare providers have been unable to reach contract agreements with UnitedHealthcare for 2021, leaving patients to pay out-of-network rates for previously in-network providers. and both state that UnitedHealthcare refuses to negotiate in good faith during a pandemic, when providers are working harder than ever. UnitedHealthcare, one of the nation’s largest commercial health insurance companies, claims that the providers’ rates are much higher than median national reimbursement rates.
