House Leadership Pressured to Ensure Stability for Physician Payment

The 新澳门六合彩官网® (新澳门六合彩官网®), in collaboration with an 新澳门六合彩官网-led coalition of physician and non-physician provider organizations, commends U.S. Reps. Ami Bera, MD (D-Calif.), and Larry Bucshon, MD (R-Ind.), for their ongoing leadership in urging congressional leaders to protect patient access to care by averting provider payment cuts associated with the 2022 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) proposed rule.

In recognition of this critical issue, Drs. Bera and Bucshon, along with colleagues representing more than half of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently delivered a letter to their bipartisan leadership requesting they extend the 3.75% positive Medicare physician payment adjustment that is scheduled to expire Dec. 31.

The robust bipartisan support for the Bera/Bucshon letter underscores the awareness of this issue on Capitol Hill and the strength of the broad coalition and its collective grassroots advocacy efforts. Prior to finalization of the letter, the 新澳门六合彩官网 alone generated nearly 3,000 letters to lawmaker urging support of the effort. The 新澳门六合彩官网 appreciates the strong advocacy involvement of its members and will provide additional engagement opportunities throughout the remainder of the year.
